Can't Get You Out of My Head

A film series by Adam Curtis, looking at how we got here from a psychological perspective.
Can't Get You Out of My Head

Once I was rolling around out in the desert somewhere, maybe in Northern Nevada, listening to Jon Ronson's highly entertaining The Psychopath Test (affiliate link).

There's a scene where Ronson goes to have lunch with his friend Adam Curtis, and when this came up in the book, I was jumping and yelling in the car as if Liverpool had just won the league.

I'm a bit of a fanboy for Adam Curtis. I think he's a Kubrik-level genius. As one reviewer said, "Curtis uses smoke and mirrors to combat smoke and mirrors."

Keep in mind, Curtis's paymaster is the BBC, an institution very near to the true heart of power on this planet. There are things he can say and things he cannot say. And he's an insider. I don't trust him to be a completely honest broker but that doesn't mean this stuff doesn't turn the tumblers in my mind. May it do the same for you.

So here's his latest. If the links go bad, all of this is on Youtube.

Courtesy of the brand Kylie Minogue, the BBC, and Adam Curtis (and his unsung, amazing team)... Can't Get You Out of My Head.
