Does Putin Deserve Compassion?

Two videos that changed my perspective on Putin... and on attacking those I disagree with.

I am not condoning Putin's war in Ukraine, or attempting to minimize his actions. This war is wrong, and Russia should withdraw now.

When we disagree with someone, we have a tendency to assume the worst of them and dismiss anything that might help us understand the chain of cause and effect that contributed to their beliefs/behaviors.

Instead, we tend to simply paint people we don't like with the evil brush.
